“In the past, jobs were about muscles, now they're about brains, but in the future they’ll be about the heart.”

The Future is NOW
Navigating COVID-19 and the dismantling of systemic racism in our organizational cultures requires us to trade in perfectionism for progress. Before an organization can tackle systems, it must first look inward, to the internal conditioning of the men and the women who make up the organization.

Leadership Immersion Program
A 2 Month Exclusive Courage-Building Experience
The Dare to Lead:Leadership Immersion Program delivers the empirically based Dare to Lead™courage building program, based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, with an inclusion and equity lens. This program is designed to help individuals develop deep self-awareness, increase their level of awareness of others, recognize their impact on others, and finally; help organizations develop clear and intentional actions and strategies to be adopted to create a more caring and resilient workplace through activities, teachings, reflection, and application.
You will walk away with a greater understanding of your courageous leadership strengths and weaknesses, emotional intelligence, and barriers to courage. This unique small cohort experience allows you to build meaningful relationships with others and begin practicing the tools and language needed to strengthen your courageous leadership. In addition to the 24-hour courage-building curriculum, you will have access to the following:
- Genos International Emotional Intelligence 360 Assessment tool and personalized emotional intelligence coaching. Research has proven that a leader’s emotional intelligence is key to their capacity to facilitate emotions in others that drive high performance and employee engagement.
- Personalized Integration Plan. You will participate in a one-on-one integration planning session designed to help you identify where and how you want to grow in your leadership, and ways you will hold yourself accountable.
"I highly recommend the Dare to Lead course offered by Tovi Scruggs-Hussein and Julie Boll. Never have I before experienced such a transformational curriculum – even in an all virtual format. Summer Leadership Intensive Experience
A three-day exclusive Courage-Building Experience
“This course holds the key to make our academic institutions and mission-based organizations more courageous and equitable."
-Caroline Simard, PhD, Managing Director, Stanford VMware Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab
The Dare to Lead: Summer Leadership Intensive Retreat delivers the empirically based Dare to Lead™ courage building program, based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, with an inclusion and equity lens. This program is designed to help individuals develop deep self-awareness, increase their level of awareness of others, recognize their impact on others, and finally; articulate their own personal call to courage. This is the critical skill-building our leaders need to challenge inequitable systems, create environments that support innovative problem solving, and lead change in their communities.
The Intensive Experience
These three days will change your life. You will walk away with a greater understanding of yourself, and the tools you need to live out your personal call to courage. This concentrated experience provides a safe environment for learning and allows you to build meaningful relationships with others that last well beyond the workshop.
The Dare to Lead™ program is designed for individuals and teams who are ready to embrace brave leadership, shed their armor, and show up with whole hearts in their work and life. To scale daring leadership and build courage in teams and organizations, we must cultivate a culture in which brave work, tough conversations, and whole hearts are the expectation, and armor is not necessary or rewarded.
In addition to receiving a certificate of completion, individuals who complete the 24-hour program may put the Dare to Lead™ Trained badge on their LinkedIn account. Participants will also qualify to become Dare to Lead Teams coordinators.
Program Features:
· Intimate cohort of no more than 30
· Three Day Virtual Retreat
· 24 hours of in-classroom work
· Trauma-aware facilitation with an Equity and Inclusion Lens
· Live Virtual Delivery
· Participants are Dare to Lead Trained and qualify to be Daring Teams Facilitators

Daring Teams Learning Lab
A cohort learning community for Daring Teams coordinators
After two years of facilitating this work it has become abundantly clear, we cannot do this work alone. One workshop, no matter how powerful, is not enough to get this work in your bones. That is why we are excited to announce a new program is available to help Dare to Lead Trained folks (that’s you!) roll this program out with their teams. This is critically important, because at the end of the day...we need to create environments where we can do brave work, have tough conversations, and show up with our whole hearts.
The Daring Teams Rollout Program was designed so that people who have successfully completed a Dare to Lead Training program (led by a Certified Dare to Lead Facilitator) can share the work and what they’ve learned with their team. Taking the next step of rolling out Dare to Lead with your team is a critical strategy to getting the work “in your bones.”
This program is only for Dare to Lead trained participants who have been through the 16 hour or 24 hour program with Tovi and Julie. Participants will receive a Daring Teams workbook to use with their teams (not available to the general public), an implementation guide (complete with a schedule of meetings and administrative checklist) and participate in a learning community with other Teams *Coordinators. We will kick-off the teams rollout with a 90 minute meeting the week prior to the launch of your program, and meet weekly for Q&A and support. As a *Daring Teams Coordinator, you are a co-learner with your team. The Daring Teams program provides structure, support and accountability so you can create a safe environment to explore this work with your team.
* Note: To be a Daring Teams Coordinator under the direction of Tovi and Julie, you are required to participate in the Daring Teams Learning Lab. Daring Teams Coordinators are NOT certified facilitators, and those who participate in the Daring Teams program will not be Dare to Lead trained at the completion of the program. Only people who attend the 24 Dare to Lead program with a certified facilitator are Dare to Lead trained.
Program Features:
· Prerequisite: Dare to Lead Trained (V2)
· Exclusive materials and content
· Implementation guide
· 90 minute orientation workshop for Coordinators
· Weekly support from CDTLFs
· Daring Teams Coordinators Live Community
· For teams of 8-12
